Special MSR/FHR issue
European Physical Journal (EPJ-N)

Last Date of Paper Submission : March 31, 2019

In the last four years the developments in the field of Molten Salt Reactors (MSR) and Fluoride-salt-cooled High-temperature Reactors (FHR) have been exciting and inspiring leading to many new results from research projects, technology development and commercial deployment.

To wrap up all scientific results from last couple of years, we would like to publish a special issue of the open-access journal EPJ-N. The European Physical Journal (EPJ) is a series of peer-reviewed journals covering the whole spectrum of physics and related interdisciplinary subjects. EPJ is committed to high scientific quality in publishing and is indexed in all main citation databases. It is an excellent platform to publish our results.

Topics:

  • Reactor design and layout (including processing facility)
  • Reactor physics and chemistry
  • Reactor control and operation
  • Reactivity control (short term, long term)
  • MSR and FHR specific component design
  • Multi-physics codes including V&V
  • Experimental facilities and results
  • Safety methodology and assessment
  • Fuel salt chemistry and control
  • Fuel salt processing and clean-up
  • Tritium control and other MSR/FHR issues
  • Nuclear fuel cycle
  • Non-proliferation and safeguards
  • Waste processing and immobilization
